The 2007 Edelweiss Charity Ball was a wonderful occasion and we are already looking forward to the 2008 edition, which will be held on November 15 th at the Athenee Palace Hilton. We do hope you will put this date firmly in your diary! The 2008 Ball will therefore raise money equally for the new building project and the sustaining of existing projects. Hospice patron and UK government minister Lord Jones of Birmingham , during his visit to Romania in April, took time out of his busy schedule to visit patients at the hospice and recalled his own time as chairman of St Mary's Hospice in Birmingham , when he helped to raise ÂŁ1.5 million for a new building. He then offered two first class plane tickets to anywhere in the world as a prize for the Ball auction!
